THE much talked about Wantok Music Concert will be staged live this Saturday at the Pacific Crown Hotel in Honiara.
The Wantok music concert has been promoted as the biggest music event in 2023 for Solomon Islands as it will feature many of the famous music artists from Solomon Islands and Australia.
The artist line-up includes Jaro Local (Solomon Islands), Charles Maimarosia (Melbourne-based Solomon Islands musician), KMK Kaumaakonga (Solomon Islands), Tjupurru (Australian indigenous artist), David Bridie (Australia), Poppy, Dreamcast Theatre Solomon Islands and Natty D (Solomon Islands).
The winners of the Wantok Music Singing Competition for last year, Solomon Islands Elizabeth Takamana Fangata and John Houkarawa, will also be part of the concert.
The concert is proudly sponsored by ANZ and Hatanga and organised by the BYGroup in collaboration with the Australian High Commission in Honiara and the Wantok Music Foundation.
Since the concert is a fully sponsored event, entry will be free of charge. The gates will open at 4:30pm and entertainment will begin from 5pm.
