Former defending Telekom S-league champions, Solomon Warriors FC is taking in more players to boost its already star studded side for the fifth TSL season.
The season is scheduled to kick off on August 15 which is less than two weeks away.
Head coach, Moses Toata revealed to Star Sports early this week the club will sign up former Vanuatu national defender, Brian Kaltack, Koloale’s midfielder Augustine Samani, Benji Kiko, Kency Tangis who featured in the previous season and Hekari’s Solomon striker, Tutizama Tanito.
The team currently in training camp are Anton Talo, Samson Koti, Emanuel Poila, Hadis Aengari, Fred Fakari, Bata Furai, Welshman Houkarawa, Loea Mani, Rollan Mamanika, Matson Feni, Willie Daudau, Molea Tigi, Micah Lea’alafa, Augustine Samani, Ian Paia, Jerry Donga, Tutizama Tanito, Dennis Ifunaoa and Lency Norman.
These inclusions are expected to strengthen the Warriors team after some of the players are reported to have switch clubs, some to clubs abroad.
When asked about the chances of having key midfielder, Judd Molea back for the season Toata said, Judd has not been confirmed for his lineup and is reported to have opted to switch sides to the current TSL champions Western United FC.
“No he is not in our line-up but Daniel Fa’alimae of Western United did ask me to release him.
“We have no current agreement with the player as far as we know.
“All TSL players are amateurs and their amateur contracts last only the season, at the end of each season all TSL amateur players are free agents, free to move unless however if a player has a personal agreement with the club.
“That’s something the TSL Board needs to clearly explain so the all teams understand the amateur’s player status,” he said.
Another key player who also switched club is James Naka, who now signs up with Vanuatu’s Amicale FC.
