The Telekom S-league champions and defending HFA champions, Solomon Warriors FC on Monday ended their campaign for the 2014 HFA league on second spot after thrashing Makuru FC 4-0 at the Lawson Tama stadium.
They ended with a total points of 26 points one less than this year’s champions KOSSA FC who sits atop with 27 points.
Both sides kicked off on a high note having equal possession of the ball and scoring chances but the experienced Warriors side broke the dead lock just before half time signal to take the lead 1-0.
With more pressure from their strikers, Warriors extended their lead slotting home another three in the second half to make it four.
Makuru’s defeat paves the way for Northern United to sit on third place with 21 points.
Meanwhile the day’s first match was narrowly won by Marist FC 1-0 against Jnr Flamingo FC.
This gives Marist 13 points and sits on sixth spot while Flamingo remained on the tenth place with nine points.
This weekend’s matches conclude the premier division matches for this year.
