DEFENDING champions Solomon Warriors FC maintains the second spot of the Telekom S-league (TSL) after edging a young Central Coast FC side 2-0 at Lawson Tama, Sunday.
As expected it was a tough clash as both teams aim to at least finish behind current leader Henderson Eels who is leading with 44 points.
Jerry Donga scored the opening goal 21 minutes in the first half before Gagame Feni finished off with the second goal five minutes added time before full time.
The win gives the Warriors 37 points while Central Coast remains in third place with 31 points.
Meanwhile, Laugu FC’s hopes of finishing in the top four of the Telekom S-league (TSL) competition look shaky after suffering their sixth defeat of the season.
Laugu lost 5-1 to Marist FC in yesterday’s opening match.
Laugu however remains in fourth place with 27 points while Marist moves up one spot to the ninth spot with 16 points.
