Solomon Islands Oceania Club Championship representative, Solomon Warriors FC has won their first friendly match on home soil thrashing the Select side 6-0 at the Lawson Tama Stadium on Sunday
Gibson Daudau got the scoring underway for Warriors before the half hour mark from a superb free kick which he placed to the far side out of reach for Shadrack Ramoni.
This was followed by Jerry Donga’s first goal before James Naka slot home the third to make it three before the half time whistle.
Donga scored his second in the second half with the help of Dennis Ifunaoa who went straight for goal just minutes after he came on field.
Meanwhile it was not a good day for the national U19 team who lost 7-0 to the second TSL Select side.
The Commins Menapi coached side came close to scoring at times but could not match the strength of the experienced Selected side.
Both matches are in preparation for the Oceania U19 World Cup qualifiers and Oceania club championship.
