Dear Editor – Your paper reported on Saturday 10th May 2014 that the MP for West Honiara thanked God for his honesty and that he had nothing to hide.
The reason why the MP for West Honiara had nothing to hide was that everyone who were involved in his cases of ‘honesty’ had hidden everything on his behalf. There was therefore nothing else left for him to hide.
Allegedly, money initially, and after he became MP, the need to maintain intact Government numbers enabled the MP to keep his ‘honesty’.
Money he successfully used for his ‘honest’ dealings would be from his illegal gambling business since it is operated outside of Hotel premises; and since becoming an MP, from RCDF and other Government sources his infamous Caucus decided to allow MPs to access. Money from all these sources would be people’s money – from the Casino, RCDF and other Government sources are all people’s money.
It would be people’s money from gambling and taxes which the MP for West Honiara is giving back to people in his ‘honesty’ in return for favours.
Some of the favours would include voting the West Honiara MP repeatedly back into Parliament; allowing him to be above our laws for citizenship and gambling; giving the MP whatever government property he wants; making him the Chairman of an infamous Caucus; and electing him the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
Fortunately God did not side with the MPs who voted for him to be Deputy Speaker so disabled him.
So the Hon Member of Parliament for West Honiara will keep on thanking God for his ‘honesty’ as long as his Hotel is not built so he can continue to be above the laws of this country.
Gabriel Taloikwai
Honiara.
