THE week-long West Kwaio Constituency Christmas Soccer Tournament concluded successfully with a prize presentation at Faubaba school playing ground last week.
A total of 21 soccer teams from three wards within the constituency participated in the tournament.
West Kwaio Constituency Development Officer, Bobby Siarana, expressed his gratitude to all participating teams and supporters for demonstrating unity and sharing valuable experiences through sport.
He noted that the constituency is proud to witness the potential of young people and the development of sport within West Kwaio.
Siarana emphasized that the sport tournaments was a great achievement, bringing young people together to celebrate Christmas through sporting activities.
In the final results, Su’u Harbour FC emerged as the champions, heading home with a cash prize of $4,000 and a trophy.
Kiwi FC settled for the second position, receiving a cash prize of $3,000. Baunani FC claimed third place, earning $2,000, while Bina FC secured fourth place with a $1,000 prize.
The 2025 West Kwaio Christmas tournament will be hosted in Buma, Ward 28.
In addition to football, the constituency also organized a netball tournament for women and girls.
Mr. Siarana extended his Christmas greetings to all the teams and encouraged them to return even stronger next year.
