THE proposed motion of no confidence against current Western Provincial Premier Robert Pye Kuve and his government will be tabled this morning.
Ward 16 provincial member Ramrakha Talasasa is moving the motion.
Mr Talasasa has accused Mr Kuve of poor performance due to his ailing health condition.
He claimed the premier has been sick for the last six months, denying the province the leadership it deserves from its premier.
“This has left the province with no clear direction to pursue in its desire for the implementation of our development aspiration,” Mr Talasasa said in his notice of the motion.
Others issues he raised with Mr Kuve’s leadership are:
· Lack of leadership
· Comprised on executive oversight
· Politicisation of the assembly
· Poor management of provincial funds
· Integrity issue
Early this week Deputy Premier Wayne Maepio said the current government is intact and ready to defeat the motion.
Last night sources from the government claimed, it had the support of 21 members out of the 26 members ahead of the motion this morning.
