WESTERN Provincial Government (WPG) will host next Council of Tourism Ministers Meeting next in Gizo,
This was voted and agreed up during the final day of the meeting held at the Heritage Park Hotel, Thursday.
Minister for Culture and Tourism (MCT) Bartholomew Parapolo who chaired the meeting accepted submission from all provincial tourism ministers to allow Western province as the next host.
“I would like to announce to everyone here today (yesterday ) that Western province will be hosting the meeting next year and is being appointed as deputy chair for council of tourism ministers.”
The date for the meeting will be announced soon.
He assured the province that government will support them to host the event.
Provincial Minister for Tourism Chris Mesepitu thanked everyone for their support and submission.
“I would like to thank every one of you for selecting Western province to be the next host of this very important meeting and to appoint me as the deputy chair for this meeting.
“Western is happy to host this meeting and we are prepared for hosting it in 2016. We have no problem and worry, my province is welcoming all provinces to Western province in 2016,” Mr Mesepitu said.
