As the 2013 Solomon Islands Business Excellence Award; Employer of Choice Award recipient, Westpac has lived up to its reputation by providing new uniforms to enhance its employees’ wardrobe this week.
Westpac provides its team members with a range of uniform options on an annual basis at no cost; ensuring employees are smartly and professionally dressed to serve customers and maintain a professional standard in the workplace.
Westpac Solomon Islands, General Manager, Mr Kutila Pinto said the new wardrobe is just another way Westpac creates pride in the workplace.
“Our people are the face of our business and are therefore critical to the success of Westpac,” he said.
“It’s so important that we generate a sense of pride and esteem in the work we do for customers through our wardrobe. Broader than that – it’s our wish to build an inclusive, flexible and diverse workplace where values-based behaviours are upheld and rewarded.”
Customers will now be able to identify Westpac representatives through this unique uniform wardrobe, which also includes top-up options including a trouser, shirt and blouse, dress and new tailor-cut pleated red blouse each year. All uniforms have the Westpac logo embroidered on the sleeve, pocket or collar.
Westpac operates in seven Pacific countries, the Cook Islands, Fiji, PNG, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu through its network of more than 50 branches and more than 100 ATMs, its online services, its In-store Banking service and thousands of merchants.
