WESTPAC bank has officially launched its 18th In-store banking at the Lord Howe Settlement near China town in Honiara yesterday.
The new facility is located at the Trade Transformation shop.
Speaking to mark the launching, Westpac general manager (GM) Pinto Kutila said the In-store banking is a stepping stone to cover every corner in country.
“This is basically to help our people and customers in communities to prosper and grow financially.
“Also we take an important role to include every people into the financial system,”Mr Kutila added.
He said with the In-store banking Westpac has provided a service that is easier and closer to home for people when in emergency and people in community to perform their deposit, withdrawals and check account balance.
Meanwhile Westpac banking manager Jeffery Pitamama added they will continue to install In-store banking in other provinces which are yet to access In-store banking service.
He acknowledged Trade Transformation managing director Leslie Tarzan in offering the opportunity to Westpac bank to set up the service there.
