Dear Editor – Would you please allow space in your paper to voice my complaints on the above issue?
Dear chairman, we are counting down the 47 days release of the Gold Ridge tailing dam and still some villages are omitted or without water tank.
My village is just a few kilometers from the tailing dam and I was surprise we are omitted.
I don’t know what is in the heart of the chairman just pass by my village and delivered water tank at the nearby villages.
I therefore urge the chairman to explain to us why we are left out.
Are there any differences or what is so special about other villages than my village?
What are the criteria or the entitlement for receiving water tank?
If you have valid reasons why you left out, tell us. This is serious. All of us are using the river where the tailing will be discharged into, and there are no reasons why any village along Tinaghulu river should be left out.
However, let me tell you this chairman. You are a church leader and what you did does not reflect you as a Christian. This involves selfness. And greediness. Where a church leader supposed not to be involved.
Moreover, you should base your work on three Christian principles i.e. transparency, accountability and honestly.
These three principles live in a circle full of happiness and blessing outside the circle there is a killer that orbits around the circle trying its very best to break through the circle.
The killer itself is very powerful. As soon as you omit any of these three principles the killer will automatically break through and dominates the whole circle. The name of the killer is Mr Corruption.
In our situation here Mr Corruption already breaks through the circle.
Therefore I call to the DCC government, ministry of mines and energy, disaster management officers, provincial health officers and other responsible authorities beside disaster zone committee to quickly audit the funds and recheck the list of 100 places where water tanks already delivered to them as stated in a Solomon Star dated 1 August 2015 Issue No. 5933.
I believed this statement is not true.
