Dear Editor – The call made by a community member last week on the school management to answer certain issues regarding the above school must not be taken lightly.
In fact I was so vocal about these very same issues two years ago.Two years ago there was no water at the school and surprisingly, the school management saw it fit to continue run the school.
The tanks at the school were donated after the flash flood to store water for those displaced residing at the school hall at that time.
The Red Cross cannot continue to refill those tanks as the school was not stricken by a disaster recently.
So HCC CEO and the School admin, pay up the water bill and reconnect the water.
To date, there was no board meeting so as PTA .
The call by the concerned community member is very timely and that concerned stake holders must act on.
Parents need to know about how their money is being used and most importantly, their children’s health must always be a priority.
HCC Health Promotion should act quickly and asses the school sanitation and if the school admin and Board cannot avail reports for parents then an independent auditor must engaged to audit the school funds.
