The MP Quan Wing Chun School, Epalle Branch has called for more female inclusion in this martial arts discipline.
A senior Wing Chun student, Alick Kabui told Star Sports yesterday that they encourage more girls to be part of the martial arts class as it promotes character building and health.
“We encourage girls to join our trainings as Wing Chun not only teaches self defense but also promote self discipline, character building and health.
Kabui also admitted they have also experienced a drop in the number of intakes for this year.
Registration for new intakes is still open and all are welcomed to be part of the Wing Chun family.
“The intake for this year has decreased and no female has come forward to register as yet.
“Registration is still open for the public so chances to get more new students are still open,” he said.
Kabui also mentioned that this might be a chance for those wishing to join Wing Chun in the country as they are looking at putting a stop for new intakes next year.
He said this is to allow time for them to concentrate on training students for a minimum of two years before the first grading.
