A WINNING Souls for Christ training was successfully conducted at the Wyfolonga Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Zone 3, East Kwaio, Malaita Province, last weekend.
It was a one-day training program was conducted by East Kwaio District Pastor Stevenson Balausi and retired Pastor Sovo Samuel with the support of a team from Atoifi Adventist College.
Pr Balausi was the Guest Speaker at the program.
Harry Samuel confirmed the successful conducting of the training to Solomon Star yesterday.
“The training was focused on the simple method of winning one soul for Christ,” Mr Samuel said.
Mr Samuel said his father Pastor Sovo Samuel also conducted a training on Master Guide and Senior Youth Leadership Awards (SYLA) for Pathfinders and Adventurers of the Wyfolonga SDA Church.
“During the training, our youth here in Zone 3 were really blessed by all these trainings.
“As Jesus is about to return, our main aim here in the East Kwaio District is to make our young people to get busy with God’s business in preparing young people for his kingdom,” Mr Samuel said.
Mr Samuel said SDA Churches in East Kwaio District have seen huge differences after the mini camporee was conducted at the Atoifi Heights Campsite for SDA Churches in Eastern Region of Malaita a month ago because young people have been involved in church programs and joined the youth groups in their churches.
Wyfolonga is a village in East Kwaio where the SDA first arrived before reaching out to other villages in East Kwaio.
