A WOMAN accused of stealing $3,800 from a man in 2013 at Point Cruz, Honiara, has confessed to the offence, Tuesday.
The sentencing submissions and mitigation on her case will be made in court on September 10.
Cathy Kerea of Central Province entered her guilty to the charge of larceny from a person before Magistrate Augustine Aulanga.
Mr Aulanga said the matter will be listed on the next court date before a Principal Magistrate.
The court heard Cathy stole $3,800 from a man she knew while he was asleep.
This was at a market stall opposite the Yacht Club area on 29 December 2013.
Jenny Namo of Public Solicitor’s Office represents Cathy while Police Prosecutor Iete Tebakota appeared for the State.
