The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force Fraud Squad officers had arrested and charged, two women on fraud charges from two separate incidents of larceny and conversion earlier this month.
Police investigation revealed that one of the suspect who is from Vobvota village, Guadalcanal province, was reported by her banking service, that on two separate occasions on the 24 and 13 October 2013, a substantial amount of SBD $133,829.17 which belongs to other customers were fraudulently obtained and deposited to two different account holders at a banking service at Point Cruz.
Police were informed of the incident and a case was conducted which resulted in her arrest. She is currently in police custody to appear in the Honiara Magistrate court on the 17 October 2014.
