THE Malaita Provincial Council of Women has expressed its commitment towards supporting the implementation of the Malaita New Government for Fundamental Reform (MNGFR) policy roadmap.
This was stated by its President, Martha Rurai, at the launch of the MNGFR Policy Translation document, last Friday.
Mrs Rurai joined other organisations to congratulate the MNGFR for launching the very important document to govern and manage the affairs of Malaita Province and its people within the Fini-led government’s short tenure.
She said the council was pleased to be invited to witness the policy translation launch.
Mrs Rurai said she hoped to see the implementation of the policies therein through the various development projects highlighted.
Premier Martin Fini announced at the launch that he was pleased with the responses from Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement (DCGA), Japan, People’s Republic of China, United States, World Bank and ADB, Australia and New Zealand who already made positive responses to support Malaita in various sectors of development, including climate change resilient infrastructures.
He added the Malaita Economic Development Initiative (MEDI) will support MNGFR to deliver some of the national projects for Malaita Province.
Premier Fini added that his government will involve in ‘negotiation, discharging, settlement and engagement’ as cornerstone to implement its 11th hour policy.
