A NEW women’s group was formed in Roderick Bay Hideaway Florida Island in Central Province after the basic household training ended Friday last week.
It involved all the participants who attended the training. Most of them are women from Haroro village and surrounding communities in Florida.
It was formed to coordinate women’s program in the community.
Congratulating the women during the closing of the basic household training Neily Tokuru said forming of the group shows an eagerness and importance of the training.
“Since now you have your groups I urge you all to start do something from what you have learnt throughout the training.
“I know this week is not enough for you but I train you the basics and many more will come,” she said.
Mrs Tokuru said the training is to support your tourism business and families generate income.
“What I train you comes from my heart to help you and your family.
“Please utilize all your skills and knowledge that you have obtained in good use, ‘she said.
Meanwhile Green Tourism Solomon Island Ltd has donated $700 to this group as part of supporting their project.
