More than a hundred of direct employees of Malaita provincial government whose salaries have been delayed for almost a week finally received their pay this week.
Reports reaching the paper said some of the employees received their pay on Tuesday afternoon.
The remaining employees were expected to get their salary through their accounts yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the employees reiterated their salary will just go to repay their credits and the money they have borrowed last week and will wait for another fortnight.
They called on the provincial government not to repeat the same problem in the next fortnight.
The delay in payment of salary last week has affected many families.
