A two days dissemination workshop program on Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) was in Auki this week.
It successfully concluded on Wednesday.
It was conducted and facilitated by statistician Alfred Palo from Survey Unit Statistics department and Raphael Aipaina Principal Statistician from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury.
The workshop was held on the Bahai conference room in Auki.
Speaking at the workshop Mr Aipaina said, the survey is a national project being undertaken in all 9 provinces including Honiara.
“The aim of this survey is to find out the spending and income of households in both urban and rural areas.”
A total of 15 participants from various stake holders in Auki attended the workshop.
Many participants have expressed excitement in learning from the workshop.
