THE Western Provincial Assembly (WPA) will table the 2022/2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill this morning.
The Supplementary Budget meeting will be held at the Chacha building conference room this morning.
Most of the newly elected members of the provincial assembly are expected to attend.
The Premier, Finance Minister and the House are expected to table the supplementary budget after the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has completed its scrutiny of the figures weeks ago.
Solomon Star has obtained a copy of the “additional supplementary expenditure of $ 12,429,178.00.
This supplementary appropriation budget is to legalised the spending from the government for last past 6 to 9 months ago.
This follows other figures reveal for recurrent revenue sits on $21,248,413.40
Whilst the capital revenue for the revised budget is $17,778,887.40.
The Revised recurrent expenditure is $16,741,430.57.
And the Revised capital Expenditure is $22,255, 869.93
That gives us the total amount of total revised budget of $38,997,350.
The Supplementary Budget expenditure also includes another 2 million given by the National Government to build the new Youth Centre and others spending on the projects and developments under Provincial Constituency Development Fund (PCDF) for the past 2 years.
Meanwhile, the new budget for the 2023/2024 will be deliberated around in March this year.
