A TOTAL of eight religious youth groups from the North Guadalcanal Constituency are recipients of the constituency’s Church grant.
Member of Parliament for North Guadalcanal Constituency, Samson Maneka revealed an amount of $100, 000 is ready to assist church groups.
He clarified this is the second tranche of the $250, 000 Church grant that will be used to support churches within the constituency.
North Guadalcanal Constituency Development Officer (CDO), Judah Sikua, assured other groups who have not yet received assistance they’ll be next.
The first group to receive assistance from this tranche was Leivatu Church Youth Group.
The church’s youth secretary Edwin Awaoli thanked the constituency for the support.
“We will use this money to buy musical instruments for the church’s youth group,” he said.
Each constituency is allocated $250,000 a year in church grant.
