The dance competition that was hosted by the Youth @ Work team last Friday has ended successfully.
This was confirmed to the Solomon Star by the Youth Market Entertainment officer, Losana Ghukuna yesterday.
“The competition coincides with the World Environment Day with the theme ‘Best Solution, No Pollution’.
“It was very successful and the winner was the Outcast Crew.
“Actually, there were two dance groups vying for the top spot but the other was disqualified because of a misinterpretation and misunderstanding between us and the dance crew.
“Apart from that, the one day event was good apart from the other youth markets that normally run for three to four days,” she said.
She told this paper that they were very happy to see the creativity of the performance of the dance crews that took part in the competition.
“It is good to see the creativity of the dancers being displayed in the competition.
“The performance of the dance crews was really good and they have improved a lot these days,” the entertainment officer added.
When contacted yesterday, the Youth @ Work Coordinator, Sandra Bartlett also shared similar thoughts saying that the event was very successful.
Meanwhile, this paper understands that the Youth @ Work team is planning a bigger event for next month and it will be different from the other past Youth Market events being organized so far.
